Nearby Attractions The historic city of Derry is a 30 minute drive from the hotel. Visitors can walk around the walls; enjoying panoramic views of the town and surrounding countryside. Alongside the walls at Union Hall; the Tower Museum traces the history of Derry through multimedia displays. In the opposite direction; a drive along the Causeway Coast is a must for all visitors to this area. Here you will find the world-famous Giant's Causeway; Ireland's only World Heritage Site which has a magic beauty all its own. An excellent visitors centre provides a history of the area. Dunluce Castle; perched on a steep crag dates back to the 13th century and provides the perfect spot to stop and admire the views. Further along the coast is White Park Bay with its beautiful sandy beach. For the brave at heart; there is a walk across the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. The Old Bushmills Distillery is close to the Giant's Causeway and visitors can enjoy a fascinating tour which ends with a sampling session. The hotel has its own 9-hole golf course and there are many other fine courses within an easy drive; including the famous links course of Royal Portrush. Hotel Features The Brown Trout has a combination of three star hotel rooms and five star cottage suites. The bedrooms are in a courtyard adjacent to the main building and are laid out in American style with two double beds; with an extra guest bed available if required. All the rooms are very accessible for disabled quests. Room facilities include TV; iron; hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The cottage suites give you the added advantage of a cottage living area with a real peat fire; a fully equipped kitchen and a luxurious lounge overlooking the golf course. The hotel has a fully equipped gymnasium and a challenging 9-hole golf course. There are conference facilities at the Brown Trout that can cater for up to 40 people.
